If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people - their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties - someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad; if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal." - John F. Kennedy

Funny Peculiar
I worked the garden register for a while yesterday covering for a lunch. While I was there a minivan pulled up and discharged 5 Buddhist monks complete with the saffron robes. All but one made a beeline for the back while one peeled off and headed into the store proper. A few minutes later they all returned pushing a flat cart piled with organic soil conditioner and the loner returned with several pairs of work gloves. The eldest pulled out a Visa from somewhere and slid it through the terminal and boom they all piled their goods into the waiting minivan and vanished. The whole episode lasted no more than 5 minutes and afterwards seemed very surreal. One, I didn't know there was a monastery in Roswell but where else would a minivan of monks come from? Just what are they planting and how do I find out where they are?
