Another Light

Another country has seen the truth and abolished the death penalty. This one is our neighbor to the south Mexico. Step by step the world is coming of age.

"Mexico shares the opinion that capital punishment is a violation of human rights," Fox said. "Today, the death penalty has been abolished."

Even though they haven't excuted anyone in nearly 45 years the law was still on the books. There are not many "developed" countries left that still have the death penalty and surely we stand out in any such population. A little embarrassing, eh?

Grats to Jeralyn for the heads up.
