Happy Solstice

Everyone have a great Summer Solstice or midsummer's eve or Litha or whatever. Today will be the longest of the year and from here until the Winter Solstice the days will get shorter. I have to work today so there won't be any dancing or "bone-fires" until later. This is a great time to spend some time in the garden as high summer is when the life force is strongest in nature and it will only wane from here until next year. I highly recommend sitting quietly for a few hours in the garden or woods and let yourself merge into the forces around you. It's amazing.

Heh!  It's alright for you 'over there' prancing about in your garden humming 'Kumbaiya' but 'over here' we are suffering with real 'global warming-lite' because it's been pissing down for the last six weeks!

So I understand from my friends in the Peaks. They had to turn on the heat over the weekend. I would gladly trade a little sunshine for a little rain.

Oh, there's David pissing on the parade again. It's beautiful here, with a clear blue sky, the garden cooled by ocean fog at night, hot days with the fragrance of roses, honeysuckle, and Rosemary. Happy Litha FM

Sad to think tomorrow the days will start getting shorter already!

Did David really say "suffering from real global warming-lite" ?
