Good Tools for Free

Via Corrente The Cost of Iraq War site is worth a visit. It shows comparisons of how much is being spent on yhe disister in Iraq to what could be spent on lots of issues. One example, health insurance for kids: around 95 million kids could be insured for what Iraq has cost us. Or we could have funded global hunger programs for 6 years for what we have spent so far in Iraq. Or, we could have ensured that every child in the world was given basic immunizations for 52 years. There are some very sobering numbers there that you can use.
SOme of the tools on the site allow you to localize the numbers for you state or city. These local impact numbers can be a valuable weapon for charts and graphs for local presentation.
