Keep it Alive

Paul Krugman has bitten the bullet and decided to push the Downing St. Memo. All I can say is thank goodness! The MSM is not on this story and it should be. This is one of the most blatant examples we have had that Bush and Company cooked the books on Iraq. If this memo had concerned Bill Clinton or any other Democrat there would be blood in the streets.
I believe it is vitally important for the blogosphere to not let this story die. There is hope now that it is on the NYT editorial page it might get some legs but Rove and company are very good at killing messengers. If you need proof just watch the poisoning of the well over at Newsweek on the Quran story. As I commented over at Firedoglake this morning...it would not surprise me one bit to see that this whole fiasco was planted in order to take the heat off somewhere else or to punish Newsweek or Kristoff for some unknown slight to Bush or Rove. Never underestimate how low they will go to forward their own agenda. Everyone should be linking and supporting Krugman on keeping this alive and in front of the noise that Rove will be generating to try and bury it. Come to think of it, what better way to move the Downing St memo out of the main stream than a few riots and deaths in Afghanistan.
