The lack of any rainfall for the last month or so coupled with the driest winter and spring since 1930 has caused another tightening of the outside water restrictions. Here in Roswell, which is on the Fulton County water system, we are now restricted to outdoor watering only on the weekend...Saturday if you are even and Sunday if you are odd. Plus you can only water between midnight and 10 AM. Fortunately, my little vegetable bed and containers are exempt since vegetable gardens can be watered any time with no restriction. Guess the lawn is a goner though. I will try and hit my foundation plants in the few hours available to me on Sunday morning and hope that will be enough to keep alive until we get some rain.
Let's just hope it doesn't get any worse. They are already threatening with food prices because of the drought.
