Where Are the Handcuffs

The fallout from the use of the RNC email system by the White House is starting, finally, to get some legs. The RNC has deleted the email for an estimated 51 out of 88 White House officials who have been using the outside RNC e-mail accounts. Has no one heard of the Presidential Records Act? This is an obvious attempt of the part of Rove and company to avoid oversight which is in blatant violation of the Records Act so why aren't people in jail? The Presidential Records Act requires the President to “take all such steps as may be necessary to assure that the activities, deliberations, decisions, and policies that reflect the performance of his constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties are adequately documented … and maintained as Presidential records.”
This is just another example of the White House breaking the law with impunity. Let's hope Senator Waxman and his committee get some people behind bars on this. You can read more about the committee findings here
You can also check out the Speaker’s blog and the the Washington Post.
