If you don't stop by Joe Bageant (Deer Hunting with Jesus) every once in while to see what he is discoursing on you might miss something pretty good. The link is to a post labeled Nine Billion Little Feet and it is discussion about population. Whilst I don't agree with everything he says, on balance he is pretty close to the mark. It is a little long but worth the read.
