Public Option Dead?

There is a good post over at Firedoglake concerning the latest on the public option and the possibility that people otherwise uninsured between 55 and 64 could 'buy in' to Medicare. From what I see it would be good for people like me who will most likely not have insurance after COBRA runs out. A lot will depend on when and if it would be available and it surely doesn't answer the questions about the rest of the folks that are uninsured nor what the cost would be. We may actually begin to see some movement today on what will happen.
