Dubya, Rove and Cheney are looking for your apathy. They need it in the worst way. They need to fund another week or two in Iraq and need 6 billion or so dollars. They think they have a plan. The Army Corps of Engineers has just produced an estimate of 6 billion to repair the levees in New Orleans to a standard that would repel an0ther Katrina.
Bush and company think you aren't paying attention and will take the 6 billion for NOLA and spend it on killing more American soldiers and Iraqis and you will never know. You'll just wonder why more progress is not being made in NOLA. Don't expect Bush to tell you where he got the 6 Billion for Iraq next week.
You can do something. Write your Congress critters and if you want to have some fun you can send Dubya your Mardi Gras beads. This is an event sponsored by scout_prime over at First-Draft. If nothing else go over and read Scout's post and get pissed off.
